You think of the days when the first leader, the shepherds carried around a big stick and could smack their sheep when they didn't do what they were supposed to do. You want to tell them in so many words that you want them to straighten up and get with the program!
Throughout my entire management, one thing has almost always been true: If I communicate the right mission at the right time of the year in the right way and with the right motivation behind it, the sheep do not disappoint. I set my sheep up for effective cooperation.
